Baddiel and the Missing Nazi Millions
Back in 2004, in an episode of Who Do You Think You Are, David Baddiel retraced his family’s footsteps and visited the site of the factory they once owned in Kaliningrad. Like millions of Jews, they were stripped of everything they owned. Now David embarks on a new journey to New York, Berlin and Poland to discover how Jews are still fighting to get their stolen money and possessions back. Along the way he is forced to confront his own discomfort about the issue of Holocaust restitution.
“A considerate, attentive and, against considerable odds, humorous film. The more I think about it, no – I very rarely see the like” The Guardian. “Funny, unsentimental, fiercely intelligent” The Times. 1 x 45mins BBC1
