I was show-runner for Professor Brian Cox’s first series for BBC1 from secondary development to delivery. The switch from BBC2 required a game-changing approach, resulting in a Grierson award-winning production and the most ambitious series BBCS Science Unit had ever made.

Key responsibilities included: creating sizzle reels and producing a sophisticated marketing brochure to raise co-production funding; drawing on an enormous pool of research to write the initial series and episode treatments; managing a large team that filmed in 20 countries in challenging and dangerous circumstances; pushing the creative by drawing on the latest filming technology; creating a strong digital proposition for online presence on both BBC UK and BBC Earth platforms, and working with multiple co-producers to create versions targeted for their audiences.
