Horizon
I lead on BBC Studios’ tender for Horizon, the long-running flagship science documentary series, ultimately winning a 16x 1hr commission. Heading a development team to produce a raft of ideas based on the latest scientific research and audience analysis, I co-ordinated with various stakeholders and a design team to produce a substantial pitch document.
Prior to that I produced and directed numerous award-winning Horizon documentaries, including films on the first discovery in the search for extrasolar planets; the scientific advances that could turn the fiction of designer babies into a reality; the controversy in medical research and the treatment of obesity, and the heated debate sparked by a team of NASA geologists who claimed they had found the first signs of life in a Martian meteorite.
